AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PALM
BEACH,PALM BEACH COUNTY,FLORIDA,AMENDING THE TOWN CODE
OF ORDINANCES AT CHAPTER 18, BUILDINGS AND BUILDING
REGULATIONS, AS FOLLOWS: AT ARTICLE XIV, NUMBERING OF
PREMISES, BY ADDING SECTION 18-967 THAT WILL PROVIDE
LANGUAGE FOR THE NAMING AND RENAMING OF STREETS, VIAS AND
ALLEYS; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREOF; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREA5,after a public hearing pursuant to notice required by law,the Ordinances,Rules
and Standards (ORS) Committee considered all testimony and recommended modification to the
Code of Ordinances;
WHEREAS, after a public hearing pursuant to notice required by law, the Local Planning
Agency considered the ORS recommendation and all evidence and testimony and recommended
that the Town Council adopt the subject Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, after public hearing pursuant to notice as required by law, the Town Council
does hereby find, determine, and declare that the public health, safety, morals and general welfare
of the citizens of the Town of Palm Beach requires that the aforesaid Chapter 18, BUILDINGS
AND BUILDING REGULATIONS,of the Code of Ordinances,be amended as hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
PALM BEACH, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1• Incorporation of Recitals.
The above recitals are incorporated as fully setforth herein.
Section 2• Article XIV, NUMBERING OF PREMISES, Section 18-967, Naming or
renaming of streets, vias & alleys, is hereby amended and added to read as follows (added
language underlined, and removed language st�e�t):
ARTICLE XIV.—NUMBERING AND NAMING OF PREMISES
Sec. 18-967.—Namin� or renaming of streets,vias & allevs
Naming or renamin� of streets, vias and allevs shall be approved by Town Council at a

public meeting, with notice to all propertyowners and business owners located on said street, via
or alley, and to any affected business association (if applicable), at least 90 days prior to the
meetin�date. Said notice shall be sent via United States Postal Service (LJSPS), or hand delivered
when deliverin�by USPS is not�ossible.
Section 3• Severability.
If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or applications of this Ordinance which can be
given effect without the invalid provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions of this
Ordinance are hereby declared severable.
ection 4. Repeal of Ordinances in Conflict.
All other ordinances of the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, or parts thereof which
conflict with this or any part of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 5. Codification. �
This Ordinance shall be codified and made a part of the official Comprehensive Plan of
the Town of Palm Beach.
ecti n 6. Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall take effect thirty-one days after its adoption, as provided by law.

PASSED AND ADOPTED in a regular, adjourned session of the Town Council of the
Town of Palm Beach on first reading the 8th day of January 2019, and for second and final
reading on this 14th day of February 2019.
