AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PALM
BEACH, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE TOWN OF
PALM BEACH'S CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING SECTION 18-167
TO ALLOW FOR A NON-RESIDENT EXPERT TO BE APPOINTED TO THE
ARCffiTECTURAL COMMISSION (ARCOM); PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREOF;
PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town proposes to amend Section 18-167 in its Code of Ordinances to
allow for a non-resident expert to be appointed to the Architectural Commission (ARCOM) when
that person is found by the Town Council to have special expertise that will benefit the Commission
and the Town.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF PALM BEACH, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amend Article III, ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW, DIVISION 2,
ARCHITECTURAL COMMISSION, Section 18-167, Qualifications of inembers, to read as
follows (new language underlined, removed language�, and Section 18-166 included to add
context):

Section 2. Incorporation of Recitals
The above recital is incorporated as fully set forth herein.
eetion 3. Severability.
If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or applications of this Ordinance, which can be
given effect without the invalid provisions or applications, and to this end, the provisions of this
Ordinance are hereby declared severable.
Section 4. Repeal of Ordinances in Conflict.
All other ordinances of the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, or parts thereof which
conflict with this or any part of this Ordinance, are hereby repealed.
�ection 5• Codification.
This Ordinance shall be codified and made a part of the official Code of Ordinances of
the Town of Palm Beach.

Section 6• Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval, as provided
by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in a regular, adjourned session of the Town Council of the
Town of Palm Beach on first reading this 8t" day of May 2018, and for second and final reading on
this 12th day of June 2018
